BBQ Chicken, a South Korean-based chicken franchise (with a few locations in the US*) has developed, what they are hoping is the next great revolution in fast food containers.
The recently introduced Col-Pop is a drink cup and top combo designed not only to hold your beverage of choice, but also to hold your serving of Popcorn chicken. 1 cup for your on-the-go take out action. Making drinking and snacking easier.
Eliminated is the cumbersome extra food container, allowing you to enjoy your 32 ounce soft-drink and still keep a hand free to chow down on your popcorn chicken. The folks over at Serious Eats did a review of the cup and also measured it up to its claims.
The determined that while it does separate the two items some condensation forms on the top of the lid while you eat. Also, the lid cuts the 32 ounce drink down to about 18 ounces. Some may view it as scary that their are highly paid researchers and marketers at fast food corporations pouring good money into developing products like this. I just call it progress.

Since Josh has been on his diet, cutting out many things, including alcohol, he decided to indulge himself with a (1, singular) drink over the weekend and clearly this got him wasted to the point that he thought anything was funny. I apologize for the videos he posted. Moving right along….
Chris Grey is a guy working on a project to design 30 prints for tshirts during his lunch, just little simple designs (and well, some not so simple). You can see the one that caught my eye at first (up on the left), but there are a lot of great designs on his site and interesting to check out, especially as something he has been doing during his lunch hour. You can check out the rest of his designs at TheAmazingShape. Some nice stuff he’s got going on there.
Sorry we’re not a graphic design blog, but I am sure by this point he has made it on to quite a few.

Just a quick little post about my favorite topic: Green. Well, kind of, at least everything in this post can be tied together under the Green heading.
First up, a website for Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth was hacked and loaded up with spammer links to sell Viagra, Xanax and the like.
It looks like only the pages associated with the blog were attacked and linked to other hacked pages from Westmont College (that or the Christian College is running a side business pushing drugs).
Looks like the hackers exploited a flaw in WordPress (a popular piece of publishing software) security. Might be time for us to up our own security here.

It’s been a good long while since we have had really ridiculous product to mock discuss here.
Today though is just a jackpot of a day where we have come across not one, but two totally different products worthy of being called out for this distinction.
First up we have Phone Fingers. “What’s a Phone Finger?” you ask (and I’m glad you did). A Phone Finger is, essentially, a condom for your finger. Made of very thin durable latex, you just roll it up your index finger and you’re protected.

A little while ago a ton of blogs were all a buzz about Zillion laces (I swear, I read about them on like 5 or 6 different sites) folks seemed to be pretty excited about them and it sparked my interest. I could see that they had a nice design and all, but I was totally lost as to the 14,90EUR price tag (about $21 if my “math” is correct). So, I actually went ahead and contacted Zillion. They sent me a pair of laces (and a hat… they design more then just laces) and I have been wearing them around for the last week.
The first thing I noticed about the laces is that they are more durable then your typical cotton laces that come with every pair of shoes you buy. They are, maybe, nylon, or at least, let’s say, reinforced cotton and instead of just being braided like your typical laces they are double stitched along the length of the lace. Okay, I guess that isn’t all true: the first thing I noticed was the packaging, as you can see they come nicely packaged in a little wooden box, under the the laces there is the companies logo. Got to say, it is really nice packaging.
