We all know that Indiana Jones comes out in just two months (slightly over 57 days).
For those of you know who really need an Indy fix now though there is IndyGear. Indy Gear is the site for the true fan, where you can read up on Indiana Jones gear like his iconic fedora, his boots and various other articles he wears throughout the films and find out where you can purchase said items.
Some of the listings are the original manufacturers. Others just detail the gear and tell where you can find reasonable facsimiles. These are seriously obsessive Indy fans here, and by no means is that a bad thing. If anyone would like to but me a gift (I like gifts) those Indy Boots by Alden look pretty nice.*

Since Josh has been on his diet, cutting out many things, including alcohol, he decided to indulge himself with a (1, singular) drink over the weekend and clearly this got him wasted to the point that he thought anything was funny. I apologize for the videos he posted. Moving right along….
Chris Grey is a guy working on a project to design 30 prints for tshirts during his lunch, just little simple designs (and well, some not so simple). You can see the one that caught my eye at first (up on the left), but there are a lot of great designs on his site and interesting to check out, especially as something he has been doing during his lunch hour. You can check out the rest of his designs at TheAmazingShape. Some nice stuff he’s got going on there.
Sorry we’re not a graphic design blog, but I am sure by this point he has made it on to quite a few.

A little while ago a ton of blogs were all a buzz about Zillion laces (I swear, I read about them on like 5 or 6 different sites) folks seemed to be pretty excited about them and it sparked my interest. I could see that they had a nice design and all, but I was totally lost as to the 14,90EUR price tag (about $21 if my “math” is correct). So, I actually went ahead and contacted Zillion. They sent me a pair of laces (and a hat… they design more then just laces) and I have been wearing them around for the last week.
The first thing I noticed about the laces is that they are more durable then your typical cotton laces that come with every pair of shoes you buy. They are, maybe, nylon, or at least, let’s say, reinforced cotton and instead of just being braided like your typical laces they are double stitched along the length of the lace. Okay, I guess that isn’t all true: the first thing I noticed was the packaging, as you can see they come nicely packaged in a little wooden box, under the the laces there is the companies logo. Got to say, it is really nice packaging.

“Kameraflage is display technology specifically designed for the camera-phone generation.”
Or at least that is what the website touts it as.
As we all know the human eye can only see a limited array of colors. We hit the UV or IR marks and we don’t see a thing. Digital Camera’s and displays on the other hand pick up a lot more colors then the human eye and can translate them into viewable colors and images for us. Kemeraflage plays off of this concept.
Basically the Kameraflage technology adds a layer to things that is only visible when viewed through the camera. Some of the applications that they suggest are within movies, for subtitles or hidden messages, secret advertisements or messages at historic locations, rather then obstruct the view of the location, have messages on the walls around it that only show in pictures (of course the argument could be made that it then ruins the picture…) and on clothing, which I think is kind of the neatest application.

I’ve written about how the NY Times has used material that we have written about (and gotten their facts wrong… Isn’t that what fact checkers are suppose to do? Check facts, make sure they arent wrong) and New York Magazine.
Today’s theft of materials comes to us from Thrillist:
Gear: Headhoods
$40-55 at Headhoods.com
Sure these start with a ubiquitous American Apparel canvas, but pulling up the hood reveals that the side’ve been hand-printed with profiles of the King of Hearts, gorilla man, Elvis, and other figures so cool, you’ll need a second, over-hoodie so they too can shroud themselves in the coveted street look they so richly deserve to rock.
Appearing in “The List” a few days after I posted it on our site… A little too coincidental if you ask me. I at least had the good grace of contacting HeadHoods and asking some questions before writing them up. (also I believe it should be “sides’ve”). Give credit where credit is due, at least they found a different picture to use.
