Intelligent Criticism in the Service of a Better Nation

Films of the 2000s

While I’ve been putting together my list of 50 favorite films of the decade, Paul Proulx has posted this really good clip on Vimeo.

It contains clips of 104 films, listed (to the best of my ability) after the jump.

With only a handful of questionable inclusions and (of course) glaring omissions, it’s a pretty good representation of a lot of the best of the decade. For me, at least. Not counting the few I couldn’t identify, there are only 6 I haven’t seen. Additionally, I own 18 of these and there are at least a dozen more I’m itching to own. And about 34 of these are either on my list of 50 favorites or were considered seriously.

I think walk the line is an awesome movie, it shows the great work of jonny cash in a great way and is an adequate way to pay him tribute.

As with Anna Karina, we prefer to remember the U.S.A as she was in the 1960s.
