Friedman pulls out a good one.
My fellow Americans, we can’t continue in this mode of “Dumb as we wanna be.” We’ve indulged ourselves for too long with tax cuts that we can’t afford, bailouts of auto companies that have become giant wealth-destruction machines, energy prices that do not encourage investment in 21st-century renewable power systems or efficient cars, public schools with no national standards to prevent illiterates from graduating and immigration policies that have our colleges educating the world’s best scientists and engineers and then, when these foreigners graduate, instead of stapling green cards to their diplomas, we order them to go home and start companies to compete against ours.

He pulled a good one alright, best article I’ve read from him in months. What we need to do is make him have a consecutive series of bad days. That way he’ll always write this well

My first question is… Why isnt the innauguration being delayed until this investigation complete, and those results made public?????
I’ve been saying this ever since I heard this man’s (NO-bama) first speech…. This guy is the second coming of P.T. Barnum! He’s a slight of hand guy – but with his mouth, a “snake oil salesman”, and a “A Flim Flam Man!” He has “snookered” the American people to get himself elected – and he’s not done yet by a long shot! His presidency will be constantly interspersed with references to “Abe Lincoln.” I am personally terrified of the day when he comes out with: “Ya know those Al Quida guys arent such bad people, they’re just misunderstood.”
The “first shot” at ramming what “Abe” did for the blacks down white folks throats will come at his swearing in. He’s using the Bible that “Abe” was sworn into his presidency on!
The day this guy is sworn in, I’m lowering my American flag to half staff on the flagpole in my yard. It will stay there until he’s gone!

Always nice when we get a little nonsequitor on the boards. What investigation?
Dude, clearly Obama must have snookered most Americans, and that’s how our electoral system works.
Kind of like how Bush told people he was going to keep the U.S. from meddling in the rest of the world. That certainly worked out.
Everybody has a plan until they get hit.
