No you get a chance to name Russ & Daughters‘ New Blog, that’s right, Russ & Daughters is starting up a blog and they are looking to the internet to get some names for it. You have until July 31st to email them with your suggestion and if it is picked you will win a $100 gift certificate to the store (I will refrain from the “that’s a lot of…” lines)

For more information I’ve posted the announcement below. Besides a name they are also looking for your stories about Russ & Daughters. If you win (especially after reading this post) I hope you pick something up for me, I hear the Super Heeb is quite good.

After almost 100 years in business, it is time for a blog. This August, Russ & Daughters will launch a brand new website, at www.russanddaughters.com, and we need your help; please name our blog.

Our blog will be the place to head for daily updates about all things related to Russ & Daughters: bits of history, tastes of new treats, recipes, customer stories, traditions, anecdotes, kvetching, and kvelling. But first we need a title. Send us your suggestions. If we pick yours, you’ll win a $100 Russ & Daughters gift card.

Also, please send us your stories. Tell us about that time you met your spouse while waiting here, all morning, in a holiday line. Show us exactly what you are going to do with the six pounds of sturgeon you just ordered. Explain the incident, in 1955, with the herring barrel. Talk about the time you tried to work on your slicing skills. Share the ways you prepare bagel sandwiches at home. We want to know who you eat with, what you have, how it all happens, and why you keep coming back. And we want to feature your stories on our website and blog.
