At It Again

Last year around this time we brought our readers attention to a job called the Junior Lucky Bastard, offered through Fifty Five DSL.

Well, they are at it again, this is your chance to apply for the Junior Lucky Bastard job, here is how they sum it up:

We will spend the bulk of our lives at work. We will spend more time with our coworkers than with our family. If we’re not careful we will eventually become our job.

But wouldn’t it be nice if we could just get paid for living. No spreadsheets, no expense reports, no more eating at out desks, no more working so late at the office that daylight becomes a distant memory. If living life were a job, we would welcome suggestions on how to do it better with open arms. Meetings would be something to look forward to and working 24 hours straight would leave you feeling exhilarated, not exhausted.

Such a job exists. 55DSL is now searching for bright, young and gifted individuals to come work in our Kick Ass Department. This is not a joke, it’s not a competition and it’s certainly not a gimmick. 55DSL needs people to roam the earth and find all that is good and pure and kick ass. Their job will be to film, photograph, and blog, everything they find so the whole world can see just how amazing it all is.

At 55DSL, when we tell you to live a least 55 seconds per day, we mean it.

Of course, after making the job sound so appealing, they list the salary as being “a little better than peanuts,” so I wouldn’t exactly plan on investing in your future with this one. On the other hand it sounds like the job might be pretty fulfilling. So, there is definitely a give and take there.
