		<description>Yeah, it's the strong Christian influence that does this.  Although it is quite demented to teach little kids about gay adoption (which i'm for by the way), we shouldn't ban books.  

Which includes all of the children's books that constantly use the N'word and other racial remarks.  The parents should just watch what their kids read... no matter how "gay" it might be.</description>

		<description>Some years ago I took a course at SUNY Stony Brook called "Forbidden Books" or something like that. We started with the Gospel of John as a means of introduction to reading The Last Temptation of Christ (which is one of the best books I've ever read). We also read Madame Bovary (a hell of a lot more interesting than I imagined it would be) and a slew of literature from the Soviet Union that was prohibited during communist rule (the professor was Russian).

Additionally I recommend the two classic American banned books: The Catcher in the Rye and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Those are two of my favorite books of all time.</description>
