Kiri-Origami –Quick Update–

Posted by Matt Cipriano | No Comments

Now, I know I have written before about Origami- Or, at least, I have meant to. there are some really incredible origami artists out there on the web.

One such artist is Taketori, he does Kiri-Origami (paper cut, then folded- sometimes painted) of insects that look pretty incredible. You can check out his site (click“写真の一覧” link on the right side of the page), which is in Japanese or you can check out some of his work posted Friday on Pink Tentacle. Some really incredible stuff.

For those of you feeling a bit more adventuresome you can visit this site which has a ton of instruction sets.

–UPDATE 9/12– So, originally when I posted this I also wanted to link to ReadyMech where you can build you own little origami-esq figures (kind of a mix of Kid Robot stuff and Origami) with scissors and a little tape. Unfortunately I could think of the name ReadyMech. I found it today though, so now it is also linked.
