Rejection Letters

So, as I previously posted I was a bit, shall we say, disappointed with CitySearch’s B.S. policy on not allowing me (I don’t think it is necessarily personal, but it might be) to use words like “roach” “infested” or “bug” in my review. So I altered things a bit, spacing out words to trick the program and it worked, well mostly. My post went up Thursday, though it took them a few days I got his letter today:
Hello MattC,

So, either I am guessing someone from 5 Points is keeping track of what gets posted about them and reported my posting or folks at CitySearch are actually reading all of the posts going up. But I kind of get that, and that’s why… (come on, after the jump for more) Part of me is torn, I understand that anyone can go on to CitySearch and submit anything they want about restaurants, so yeah, CitySearch wants to be careful about who is writing what. So they make sure and keep their reviews safe. But this method also means that you can’t be fully honest in what you write.
Now on the other hand, if CitySearch allowed for people to write anything they wanted with no censorship, yes, there would be some slandering of restaurants, but folks at the restaurant could also counter those reviews by writing their own.
Conversely as things stand now, folks at the restaurant can still write their glowing reviews about how fabulous everything is there and how fine and dandy everything is while no one else can know that I had roaches crawling out of my food, well, except for you folks wise enough to read the blog.
[By the way, why aren't there any negative images related to CitySearch online? I'm going to try and whip one up, but, if that doesn't work, for the time being we will have to go with just the good old logo] [I decided to leave both up so you could see the original as well as my "art" work]
