Also, as with all florescent lights, the most energy is used when you initially turn them on. After they are turned on, florescent lights use a tiny amount of power. It takes hours of use to equal the amount of power used to turn the light on. Therefore, don&#039;t go turning your Compact Fluorescent light bulbs on and off like you do with incandescents. Doing this will waste much more power than leaving the light on for a few hours.</description>
